식품 지원 중단으로 인해 보스턴 지역 주민들에게 식품 지원 필요 증가

매사추세츠주 주민 약 110만 명에게 식품 지원이 이번 토요일에 종료될 예정으로, 보스턴 지역 주민들이 식품 은행 및 급식소에 도움을 요청할 가능성이 높습니다.

Greater Boston Food Bank의 대변인은 수요일 전화 인터뷰에서 “이전에 요청하지 않았던 긴급 식품 지원을 찾는 사람들이 많을 것”이라고 말했습니다.

이 기관은 성명에서 식품 은행만으로는 사람들 이 잃을 것으로 예상되는 SNAP 지원을 대체할 만큼의 충분한 식량을 제공할 수 없다고 강조했습니다.

매사추세츠의 식품 은행이 11월 한 달에 보충해야 할 음식 분량은 최대 5,600만 끼에 달할 것이라고 밝혔습니다.
